Obama nominated Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court (the highest court in the USA) on Tuesday, selecting a woman who would be the court's first Latino. She was Obama's only choice and already people are speculating that his pick was racially motivated. They say that because she is a Republican and has very liberal motivations, so it couldn't be political so they blame her race as the factor in him nominating her.
Born and raised in a South Bronx public housing project to Puerto Rican parents, Sotomayor has distinguished herself in academia, as a big-city prosecutor, and as a leading figure on the federal bench. If confirmed, Judge Sotomayor would start with more federal judicial experience than any new Justice in 100 years. Sonia Sotomayor, is a 54-year-old judge on the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New York, a divorcee and has no children. This is an awesome milestone for the Hispanic People and once again... Obama is tearing down walls!
OMG! she was already nominated, damn she gets a kiss from my hot President too? I'm so jealous I almost called her a name... lol
Now, this only motivates me to be important enough to get some recognition and a kiss from my president! :)

7 Tips for Making friends...
1. Show up. Just as Woody Allen said that “Eighty percent of success is showing up,” a big part of friendship is showing up. Whenever you have the chance to see other people, take it. Go to the party.
2. Join a group. Being part of a group, where you have common interests and are brought together automatically, is the easiest way to make friends: starting a new job, taking a class, having a baby, joining a congregation, or moving to a new neighborhood are great opportunities to join a group.
3. Form a group. If you can’t find an existing group to join, start a group based around something that interests you.
4. Say nice things about other people. Aside from it being a good way to behave; also, studies show that because of the psychological spontaneous trait transference, people unintentionally transfer to you the traits you ascribe to other people. So if you tell Janet that Jackie is arrogant, unconsciously Janet associates that quality with you. On the other hand, if you say that Jackie is hilarious, you’ll be linked to that quality.
5. Set a target. When you enter a situation where you meet a new set of people, set a goal of making one new friend. This seems artificial, but somehow, this shift will make you behave differently, it makes you more open to people, it prompts you to make the effort to say more than hello.
6. Make an effort to smile. Studies show that the amount of time you smile during a conversation has a direct effect on how friendly you’re perceived to be.
7. Make friends with friends-of-friends. Good people know good people. So friends-of-friends is an excellent place to start if you’re trying to expand your circle.

Cover Me with Beauty, part 1
For whatever reasons, Star Doll is not letting my sceneries load so I got clever enough to save it to our blog...
Cover Me with Beauty has many different meanings... I think we have a very close knit club and I decided to show how caring and considerate everyone can be with this scenery.
We cover each other so beautifully and we are generally concerned about each other so I hope you enjoy this scenery as much I do.
Tell me what you think.

Out of All the Collections!
Star Doll finally got it right! This "New" Philosophy Collection is Fierce! I love every item and that's a first for me. Some people I have talked to, love it as well, but differ because they are die hard DKNY Fans who are still chasing down the very first collection of DKNY. Which collections do you like best?
