The Show is Hot! I love how the women are portrayed.
Regardless rather (Lisa Raye and Stacey Dash) they get along in real life or not... in the show,they command your attention and respect as black women should. The show has so far been very true to the experiences of the single woman and choices that come with that.

I dont promote violence, but on a personal note, If anyone should have been hit in the mouth, it should have been Suzie for instigating the mess...(these reality shows always has an innocent token white girl, good example Kim on ATL Housewives).

I really can't believe that Michael Jackson, King of Pop is gone? I still want to wake up from this dream or have someone shout out "SIKE"!!

I remember when I was younger my Aunt use to say that he (MJ) was her husband (even though she was already married). One day she and my mom was cooking in the kitchen and I was watching TV and this news flash came on saying that Michael Jackson was arrested... so I jumped up to go tell my Aunt her husband was in jail and he was on TV and she dropped her bowl and ran to the TV and saw it was Michael Jackson and not her real husband (Uncle Simon) and she and my mom laughed so hard because it was her fault telling me that Michael was her husband all those years.

Many of us have fond memories of Michael Jackson, our favorite songs, videos and award shows and that was one of mine.

My heart goes out to his family and friends. He is survived by his three children sons Prince Michael 7, and Michael Joseph Jackson Jr., 12, and daughter Paris Michael Katherine, 11.

New Hairstyles Part 2

Stardoll is working like the rent is due!!! LOL!! Stardoll is really stepping their game up. I can say I am really falling back in love with Stardoll. Combined with the new outfits for summer, play and earn games, good competitions, new hairstyles, and good friends I know what I will be doing for the majority of my summer break!!

To get the dress do a search for dresses. You might not be able to get the dress. I wasn't able to get it on one of my dolls. I imagine it will be some sort of gift since it says Water Festival Gift on the tag. :)

New Releases!!!

The floral swimsuit has to be my favorite swimsuit hands down.

I'm envisioning myself relaxing on the beach in the swimsuit, flowing dress, and hat. I have a cool drink in one hand and a good book in the other.

(It is definitely better than laying in bed blogging and watching Snapped!! :))

Midsummer

One of the things I enjoy about Stardoll is their diversity. I've learned so much about different cultures since I've been on Stardoll. I had no idea Midsummer is a holiday and is celebrated in many different cultures.

Sweden
In modern Sweden, Midsummer's Eve and Midsummer's Day (Midsommarafton and Midsommardagen) were formerly celebrated on June 23th and 24th, but since the 1950's on the Friday between June 19th and June 25th and the following Saturday. It is arguably the most important holiday of the year, and one of the most uniquely Swedish in the way it is celebrated, even if it has been influenced by other countries long ago. The main celebrations take place on the Friday, and the traditional events include raising and dancing around a huge maypole. One typical dance is the frog dance. Before the maypole is raised, greens and flowers are collected and used to cover the entire pole. Raising and dancing around a maypole (majstång or midsommarstång) is an activity that attracts families and many others. People dancing around the pole listen to traditional music and many wear traditional folk costumes.

Swedish Misummer is also celebrated in the US. It is mainly celebrated in cities with large Swedish and Scandinavian populations.

Prom Do, Dont's and Suggestions by Star Brides!

The Prom is a time where you can truly express yourself. Most people choose this time to make a statement about themselves that is meaningful and lasting to them.
This year the look seems to be "Sexy with Class" wearing shorter dresses that accentual the legs and shoes that compliment the accessories and not always the look.

Many girls, will go for the Glammed Up, Fabulosity Look... which is every Prom fairy tale look. My suggestion is to keep in mind there will be lots of pictures taken, there will be lots of dancing and sweating so keep in mind the cost, make up and try to remember that you're not at a regular school dance.

There are various ways the guys will be expressing themselves as well... some will go with the traditional tux and some will mix it with jeans because they feel more comfortable. Guys are not into dressing up as are the ladies. (We'll some of them..shout out to all my Diva Gay Guy friends! I love your energy to much!)
Of course there will be the "NO she didn't wear that to the Prom" few! And I found some interesting Dont's.

Girl1.) I love the "Peek-a- Boo" dress, accessories and shoes but girl, I see ya panties! Don't bend over or dance to hard!

Girl2.) Lawd, help her... very nice dress, but did you have to wear all the jewelry that you own? Talk about over accessorizing and who do you think is gonna carry your purse all night? Bring a clutch to the Prom sweety.

Girl3.) We know you in shape and all and wanted to show your belly and we know it's cool to express oneself at the Prom. However, couldn't you have saved that outfit for the Rodeo?

Girl4.) I know we all make mistakes... but it looks like you had your fun long before the Prom and in my opinion pregnant girls should not be going to the Prom. (unless you with the baby daddy).

I love you so much and if I didn't think you were a good sport I would never have put you in the "Don't Wear It" section of this Post. Besides... you three are some of the BEST DRESSERS on SD! lol
